Twenty-four stories that span the greatest period of all naval history. From the daring penetration of Scapa Flow and the sinking of the Royal Oak by U-bot Commander Lieutenant Prien to the attack on the Japanese cruiser Takao. Including tales of the Altmark, the sinking of the Bismarck, the Jervis Bay, Admiral Scheer, sinking of the Ark Royal and many more. Submarine warfare is also prominent in this book.
Book itself is clean and still tightly bound. Light age shadows on endpapers and some brown specks down the hinge line at the front. Leading compressed page edges have a brown mark on them. Jacket is price clipped, has several small tears along edges, is a little chipped to corners, rubs and small impressions are present - see scans for detail. Overall a lovely copy. Over 500 grams before packing.
