We will wrap your books in a choice of recycled plastic, home compostable bags from https://heropackaging.com.au or bags we recycle. We use landfill biodegradable and natural biodegradable packing tape - breaks down to compost rather than micro plastics – for further information: biogone.com.au. The tape should not harm home compost.
We recycle cardboard and some other packing materials; our preference is to recycle rather than create more waste. For bubblewrap, we use Zero Waste https://zerowasteco.com.au compostable wrap or recycle wrap we receive in incoming parcels.
As a rule, we try to choose products which are safe for the environment and ethically sourced. However, Lee-Anne has an allergy to corn which is creating a problem using the home compostable bags and bubblewrap. We are trying our best to find an alternative which won't cause her distress or a visit to the emergency department. If anyone has any ideas, please let us know!
